Day Ten: Stupid! Echt Blöd!

Oh yes, lots of stupid mistakes we can recount from the last year. Here is a taster:
Christoph: loves drinking tea and soft drinks while working at his computer. A couple of years ago he killed his keyboard that way when he toppled a sticky drink, which then caused creative automatic writing. Brandnew keyboard (and this being Apple they are never cheap!) - same mistake a few months ago!! Christoph turned into Rumpelstiltskin, but luckily it was only water this time, so after a good dry-out the keyboard worked again (and still does)!
Edda: Tried to laminate a small item with the church laminator. Instead of using the protective pouch assigned for such jobs, she just mounted it on a piece of cardboard. The cardboard wrapped itself around the barrel of the machine and shut it down. Luckily a member of the church gifted in repairs of all kinds revived the machine. So Edda is only responsible for the death-by-paperknife of a paper shredder a couple of years ago…

Oh ja, viele dummen Fehler haben wir im letzten Jahr gemacht. Hier zwei Kostproben:
Christoph liebt es, Tee oder Kaltgetränke am Computer zu trinken. Vor ein paar Jahren hat er so seine Tastatur zerstört als er ein Zuckergetränk umgeschubst hat. Die Tastatur hat danach automatisch geschrieben (und in einer Sprache die Christoph nicht versteht). Funkelnagelneue Tastatur (und die ist aus dem Hause Apple nicht ganz billig!) - gleicher dummer Fehler vor ein paar Monaten!! Christoph wird zum Rumpelstilzchen, aber zum Glück war es dieses mal nur Wasser. Nach dem Austrocknen geht sie wieder (und funktioniert immer noch)!
Edda versucht ein kleines Teil zu laminieren mit dem Kirchenlaminator. Anstatt den vorgeschriebenen Schutzumschlag zu verwenden, packt sie das Teil einfach nur auf Karton. Der Karton wickelt sich um die Walze, das Gerät gibt den Geist auf! Ein begabter Reparierer rettet den Laminator. Somit hat Edda nur einen Papierschredder auf dem Gewissen (Tod durch Brieföffner)…
Und jetzt einen Schluck Tee bevor ich weiter tippe - hoppla!
Oh, and talking about stupid: We think taking photos with an iPad looks pretty… yes! (Photo taken on the same day in front of the Tate Modern)…
