Day Six: Facing the Giants
Christoph's Cystic Fibrosis is an ongoing challenge. While we are so grateful that he is as healthy as he is and able to lead a reasonably normal life, there are restrictions and struggles.
In July/August Christoph spent a week at the Royal Brompton Hospital for some intensive intravenous therapy. On our wedding anniversary he was "allowed out" so we went to the Saatchi Gallery and had a nice meal. In the midst of these times we find that God surprises us with little gifts…
In October we asked friends and family to contribute to a crucial Cystic Fibrosis research fund. Our goal of raising £5,000 seemed very audacious but through the sacrificial giving of a whole number of people we received more than £12,000 in the end! Thank you friends…
Christophs Mukoviszidose hält uns immer wieder in Atem (Wortspiel beabsichtigt!). Wir sind dankbar, dass er verhältnismäßig gesund ist und ein relativ normales Leben führen kann. Aber es gibt auch Einschränkungen und Herausforderungen. Im Juli / August war Christoph für eine Woche im Krankenhaus zur intravenösen Intensivtherapie.
